plastic box in microwave

I wondered if I can use a see through plastic box in a microwave, it's made out of the plastic you have on lunchboxes, but it doesn't say anywhere on the box it can be used in the microwave - I just wondered if it would melt or anything. I would just have it in 2 mins at a time. It feels pretty solid.

Most microwave meals come in plastic containers, you'll be fine.

Put a fork in it, this will retain the structure of the object and ensure that it does not deform.

If it doesn't melt when you pour boiling water into it, it will probably be OK in the microwave.

The worst that would happen is it would melt, try it then you will know for future referance.

The heat from what's in the container is the problem

. But in saying that, re my previous post, it'll be fine.
