im wondering with these oc bundles whats the situation with the oc profile does it arrive with the pre clocked bundle in some format or other, just wondering incase i lose the oc for some reason hehe
I have only seem how the X58 gigabyte bundles work - but these boards have a dual BIOS and you can load up a saved BIOS profile even if you wipe the current one. This is achieved pressing F12 when you enter the BIOS and selecting the right profile.
The oc is saved in the bios, if you lose it use the web form and they will send you another one. best thing to do is go into the bios and save the profile to a HDD or flash pen to start with
(this is just for the X58 gigabyte bundle - not all motherboard have dual bios)
OCUK save a profile with the overclock details before they send you the board, so you don't make your own profile. All you have to do to activate this profile (which includes all the settings like voltages, timings, frequencies etc.) like I explain above (pressing "Delete" as the PC boots up gets you into the BIOS) and then save and exit the BIOS when it is loaded.
Out of interest, which bundle are you looking at specifically?
