So what's the next "big thing" for tv then ... ?

I've never watched so many series of things ever. Too much on TV.

Sons Of Anarchy season 2
V season 1
Spartacus season 1
Stargate universe season 1 (didn't like the other stargate series)
24 last season

and going to give human target a go.

Also want to watch dexter and flash forward, but will have to rent them.

Dexter could have been massive in the UK had it been picked up by a decent channel. :/

Amazing show.

Enjoyed Warhouse 13 - the second season starts in july and has a couple cross-over eipsodes with Eureka which should be fun.

looking forward to the return of dexter and true blood.

Been watching Treme also which is made by HBO its a great program if you are a fan of jazz.

I heard it had been cancelled but not sure how official that is

9 more episodes to air later this year afaik

Hmm looks like it could go either way, hope it comes back as it has potential.

I watched Dexter after hearing it was good but wasn't sure at first, i then got quite into it and thought season 2 was some of the best tv i had seen in years, though felt 3 and 4 were lacking since the first two, anyone else think they did season twos plot a bit soon in the show, surely something that good should have be saved until a later season?

I hope they do another one similar to that where he gets in all sorts of trouble and could be found out, i think thats what makes Dexter so good, the fact he could be caught at any moment. :p

Sorry but you're wrong, i remember clearly LOST being hyped up to the max, including a bizzare ad where all the main cast members are dressed up and waltzing around the plane wreckage looking space out and high

don't remember that at all, are you sure you weren't spaced out and high? ;)

Lost was good but please, it wasn't THAT good.

Better shows have came and gone. The Wire as one example is leagues ahead of Lost.

i don't get comments like this, just because it wasn't your favourite doesn't mean it wasn't someone else. it's all a matter of opinion surely.

i'd agree with G-MAN2004 that it was the best thing on tv in a long time

lmao

Its been on ITV if I remember correctly... but I rarely saw any advertising for it and it usually started at 11PM+ (which makes sense I suppose - given the content).

Tis' a shame, British TV channels and networks disappoint me a lot nowadays; our options just seem to suck pretty badly. Whats with the trend of having these 4,5,6 episode seasons of shows? Why can't we have full, big ass seasons like our buddies on the other side of the pond.

Meh, on topic, there will be atleast 2 or 3 shows starting in September which will take off (atleast for 1 season).

I think the problem for British channels / networks is that they don't have the same size customer base (both advertising and viewers) as in the US so funds are a lot less - which will obviously impact on the amount that any one show can have spent on it - hence the 10-12 episode seasons for things like Hustle / Spooks etc.

HBO do this and they don't seem to do badly as a result - always high quality TV, whereas some shows with 20+ eps in a season can drag on BADLY!

JJ Abrams has a new spy show called Undercovers. Doubt it'll be anything like Alias as I think it revolves around reactivated "old" CIA agents. We need some proper space based Sci-Fi back :)

Finale of Bones on Sky tonight, so that'll be away for a while. Fringe is finished for the season, Legend of the Seaker must be near the end of its season. Not too much left. V doesn't have the magic of the original, so although i've Sky+'d it I havent got round to watching more than the first 2 episodes. It'll be good to see A Town Called Eureka back. I quite like Sanctuary, but its more of a cult show than mainstream TV.

I watched the first 2 of Sanctuary and was totally shut off from it, no spark, no "team" to root for, CGI was dire too.

And then it got a 2nd season ...

its uber low budget thats why the cgi is dire, i like it though some of it is quite intresting i enjoyed the kali episode at the end of s2
