Half-Life 2 question

Hi,

I see steam is doing a deal on Half-Life 2, I've always fancied giving it a go but having never actually played any of the HL2 games before I'm a little unsure which one should I choose?

Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2: Episode 1
Half-Life 2: Episode 2

buy all 3 you've mentioned, they all follow on from each other, or just buy HL2, then if you like it buy the episodes?

They're part of the same story, with Half-Life 2 being the first game and its Episodes being continuations. It would be silly to play them in another order if you've never played them before.

If you haven't already done so, play the original HL first, then HL2, ep1 and ep 2.

If your still unsure what to do, just d/l the demo and try it. One of MY top 10 games of all time. Good storyline, gameplay and coding.

I have all of them but need EP2 to complete the series. I havent played any of them for a while but have heard good things about EP2. If anyone has a spare gift after buying the orange box it would be appreciated. (email in trust)

It's only £4.19 on Steam at the moment. Surely you can stretch to that, it's less than the cost of a pint.

Nobody will. I'm pretty sure most people bought Orange box to get Ep2.
