"4% Of Gamers Are Playing 48.5 Hours Of Games Per Week"

I apparently did this a lot with GTA IV as Steam saw me as playing it if RSC was open, I was confused when it reckoned I had managed almost 200 hours in about a week :p

Think I have only done about 4 hours total in the whole of this month. My time in gaming is coming to an end though, by the end of this year I expect to have ceased gaming altogether.

Playing time: 53.9 hrs past 2 weeks

Counter-Strike
40.1 hrs / 913.9 hrs

Altitude
6.1 hrs / 6.1 hrs

TrackMania Nations Forever
5.2 hrs / 46.5 hrs

+ some sc2 beta which isn't included.

Most of the time it is late night cs that brings the total up, and I nothing todo...

Easily done if you are in a hardcore MMO raiding guild or don't work full time. At one point I was almost putting in a full time raiding with a full time job. I soon quit.

I stopped looking at X-Fire when I saw my WoW stats going above 200 DAYS played. Not good. Much better off with a casual approach to gaming now. Much more enjoyable.

I've done this with a few games, have probably hit over 100hours in some weeks without particularly trying to...
Even with a full time job I've managed over 50 hours on just Eve Online in the last two weeks. I've been playing lots of Just Cause too!

When I was younger and a student I used to have a lot of free time on my hands, especially during the summer.

I guess towards the end of my high school days, I would be gaming around 3 hours per day (during the week) and around 8 hours per day at the weekends so that's 31 hours.
During the summer when I was at uni, I would probably spend around 4 or 5 hours per day gaming.

Now unfortunately I am lucky to even play for around 2 hours per week!

During term time I hardly ever touch my games. I'll maybe go on one for up to an hour in the evening or something after my shower before bed, but because I'm at college for so long and do work when I get home, I don't have the time to be gaming on a "serious" level (the only game I'm really playing at the moment is Splinter Cell: Conviction, and I've only managed to clock just over 6 hours over the last 7 days according to Xfire).

When I'm off from college, gaming is pretty much the only thing that keeps me occupied and prevents me from dying of boredom (as you'd probably guess, I don't have a part-time job). Of course, I'll go out occasionally with my girlfriend, but I'm not exactly going to be doing that every day (or even every other day... in fact, I'll be lucky sometimes if I even go out with her twice a week).

During the two weeks I had off for Easter, I was probably playing Dragon Age for about 5 hours a day; and during February half-term, I was playing Mass Effect for a similar amount of time each day as well.

I think I could only manage 40-50 hours + when I was unemployed and played MMORPG game such as WoW or something, it can take over your life as you just want to gain another lvl etc. and you just don't get bored like with other SP games. But honestly that's a lot of hours.

I could easily pull 12-13 hours a day in a high end raiding guild for WoW.

Not anymore though, that kind of gameplay in WoW is dead, and even ebfore it was I kicked the habit.

Soon to be doing 36 hours a week of Muay Thai boxing, should be a vastly different affair :D
