"4% Of Gamers Are Playing 48.5 Hours Of Games Per Week"

When COD4 came out 1st I was doing 40+ hours per week on top of 44 hour working week. That was only weekdays as I never went near pc on weekends, too much drinking to be done. Had to stop after about a month of it as I was just sleeping all day Sunday just to recover.

I used to play that amount when I was in first year of college. But I found it was awfully unhealthy. My free time is took up by cycling abit of the time now so my gaming time has gone well down, for about a year it's being no existent but now it's picking up again, but it won't ever get that bad cause It's unhealthy.

I only play 4 hours per day if that

I spend the rest of my time training, or working or sleeping

Think I have only done about 4 hours total in the whole of this month. My time in gaming is coming to an end though, by the end of this year I expect to have ceased gaming altogether.

Why?

48.5 hours is a lot of gaming time. But then 4% is only a small percentage.

Personally I spend maybe 2 hours max a week gaming. 4, 30 minute sessions

Why which bit? :) Why just 4 hours a month or why do I think by the end of the year I will have stopped completely?

Why do you think you will have stopped completely? could be moving away with work or something I suppose. A couple of years ago I stopped gaming, I just sort of got bored, not I am enjoying a few games a week on starcraft 2 and the odd game on GTA4 :)

Ahh, just dont really have the time these days to game at all. Family tends to take all my time now. However its not really just that, its really more that I've been gaming continuously now since the very late 70s and after a few decades I am just finding that nothing is interesting me all that much. Its not burnout as such, just a seen it all before (usually better) and for the first time this year I have found that I am just not interested.

I reckon since Jan 1st of this year I have played a total of maybe 20-30 hours. So 30 hours in almost 6 months. Thing is, I really havent missed it either. Years and years ago I thought I would game throughout my life and would miss it terribly if I didnt. Surprisingly I've found that my gaming has virtually dropped to nothing and I'm not missing it in the slightest.

I can see myself giving Civ 5 a spin maybe...possibly Diablo 3 if it makes it before the end of the year. Other than that, or likely even with that, I foresee by the year end that gaming will be completely gone for me.

I dont have (my own) family but I think sometimes you need to try a little harder, once you 'get in' to a game its a lot better and a lot easier to play. The first few times I played starcraft 2 i though id only play it a couple more times. The more I played it and watched replays the better I got. Then it started getting more fun

I suppose if I was missing it then I might be inclined to try harder, but I'm just not missing the gaming, finding other aspects of life so fulfilling that I dont need the gaming :D

I barley play games at all anymore, im always interested in new games coming out and having the hardware to run them.

Just dont have the spare time or the will anymore. unless its pro evo with the boys. :D

Hehe, there is only one game which would get me passionate about gaming again. However it will never exist so I won't get the desire again :)
