Anyone got any ideas on this, had the same pair of etnies for about 8 months, they're immensely comfy and the soles i'd say have a good few months left in them. Except for the large gash in the right one.

I don't wanna go out and blow £50 on another pair of trainers before I absolutely have to, and these are my only pair, so I ask you.

What is the best way to repair this? I was thinking sew it shut and glue it, or do the ocuk gurus have a good method for me to try?

I just buy 10 pairs at a time and rotate them.

Currently wearing some Vans that I bought 6 years ago :D they look new

No, just don't waste all my money on clothes.

I'll buy decent clothes and make them last as long as possible, I find it ridiculous some people buy new clothes every month and stuff like that, part of this stupid throwaway culture.
With my current bills coming out as well this month aint one where I can spend £50 on a decent set of trainers. And with the hot weather my doc martins might look a bit stupid with shorts :D

Gonna give that evostik a try, sounds like it'll do the job nicely.

There's a lot to be said for make do and mend. Saves you money and does your bit for the environment, innit.

Yeah, sewing and gluing sounds like a good idea BUT it'll be a pig to push a needle through a sole, if that's the plan?

If you know anyone who's likely to own a leather sewing palm (like a thimble, but goes in your palm instead of the tip of your finger, for more pushing power) and a nice solid leather needle, that might be the easiest thing to do. Buying these will cost you about £15-£20 so may or may not be worth it unless you just fancy doing it anyway...

It will work alright if it's the leather that's come away from where it stitches on to the sole. If it's just the sole that literally has a crack through it, then it probably wont work.

Also, evo stick is a contact adhesive, put it on both services, go have a cup of tea, then push them together.

Still will work out the same cost long term surely? Unless you bought 10 pairs of the same shoe on sale?
