As the title says, I just bought a BB Bold 9000, tryed the new 9700 and the old 9000 out today, and found the typing and menu navagation a lot easier for me on the 9000, so I found a good deal on Fleebay and bought 1 :D

Ok well done?? lol :D

And dont you mean 'bought' rather than brought??....

Get yourself over to the link in my sig for all things BB;)

lol sorry about the spelling, and I'm pretty excited to be honest, first phone since the N95 that isn't a Nokia, and I'll check that website out cheers

LOL its ok...enjoy the phone although to be fair i would have went with the 9700;)...its a much more better device and the trackball on the 9000 Bold is prone to breaking down ie gets stuck if dirt and other particles get in there. Saying that i still have my 9000 Bold as my backup device...still a great device although i found it a bit big so upgraded to the 9700 which i find faster with more memory and easier to navigate with the new trackpad.

yeah I know about the trackballs, only thing that put me off, but I got a 2 year warrenty so least I'm covered for awhile, and I found the 9700 abit small for my big hands lol, and the keys felt flat and realy close together, but on the 9000 they felt a lot better

Congrats... :p

My Bold 9700 comes tomorrow, will have to check up on the latest useful apps.

Already been browsing CrackBerry :)

Thanks, and I have to, but theres some many apps I dunno which I should get as a priorty lol, might ask on the forums

My girlfriend got a Bold 9700 last week.

Hasn't put it down since, which is annoying as it keeps beeping all the time!

Gonna root it and put a new rom on it?

Oh :D

No such thing as rooting in BB's...but you can put different OS's onto BB's...im always updating my OS to the latest and greatest.

Saying that some people within the BB community have now started doing hybrid OS's ie taking the best bits out and adding a few more features.

I'm glad that you are getting on well with your new BB. I loved my storm when I first got it but must admit that it is now well past its use by date. It's so sloooooowwwww.

Nope this is the latest OS for the 9700:

OS6 is still a fair while away...the 9800 slider will be the first to run OS6 then i imagine the 9700 and other BB's will get OS6
