Lens restrictions at Lords? - UPDATED with photos

In a breathtakingly woeful lack of preparation, I'm off to Lords tomorrow to watch England v Bangladesh and have absolutely no idea if there are any restrictions on the equipment I can take. I'm aware that there is for most F1 events, but I just kind of assumed that it would be ok for cricket.

I won't be going over 400mm, but may extend this 2x.

Really helpful, thanks Derek. Well worth taking the 200mm and sneaking in the extender with the g/f just to be on the safe side.

Thank you.

Had a great day at the Test, although by all accounts the weather and general play was more exciting today. We ended up with great seats, just 3 rows from the front in the grandstand, almost directly level with the stumps of the Nursery End.

The light was poor at the start, but there was more and more sun as the day went on. I just stuck with the 70-200 in the end, and didn't extend at all, relying on cropping down instead - I think I just about got away with it. 400mm might not have worked out for hand held in combination with a few beers.

Full set of 17 is here - my favourites below:

Nice shots! It's a good day out at the cricket, I never see much of the game but I know the bar staff quite well by the end of the day!

straighten up your horizons man! :p

Excellent shots though. Good action in the first two. You'll have to forgive my ignorance for the 3rd one but is that some famous cricket bloke or just some random bloke you took a photo of?

Honestly, it is the beer. Slightly more honestly, I can never take a level horizon - I'm sure I just adopt the position most comfortable to take a shot, and that is rarely level.

Random bloke drinking wine ;) I really liked the way the wine was sticking to the glass, and thought it contrasted well the very green outfield behind him.

I very rarely take a level horizon in sports for exactly the same reason or when I'm following the action. I'm sure in photoshop if you click and hold the left mouse button over the dropper icon you can select the ruler option from the drop down menu and you draw a line across the advertising boards then select arbitray rotate and it automatically gives you correct angle to rotate the image. Crop down and voila ;)
