I heard that most VAG wheels are interchangeable

the wheels on the other half's TT need a refurb  and it looks like a 2 day job

my mate has some Seat Leon ( 17 inch one iirc ) in his garage and I was going to ask to borrow them for a couple of days

any idea if they would be ok ?

Should fit fine mate.

Both seem to be 5x100 and share the same centre bore. Offset is slightly different but id imagine the alloys will fit fine.

Depends which generation TT and which generation Leon. Mk1 and Mk2 are not interchangeable, but if you're talking about a Mk1 Leon and Mk1 TT then yes you'll be fine :)

Def a MK1 TT

and this shape Seat

If the ones pictured are the alloys in question, then the offset is extreme (something like 5) and they won't fit. In general though, you want something like 17" x 7J-8J ET35.

they arent they are some cheapo aftermarket jobbies, wolfrace I think

they were on one of the pseudo performance diesel models

will still fit fine, all the golf IV platform cars use the same hub arrangement, the only exception is the Cupra R (pictured) as it needed low offset to clear the brembo's

Rotty, if they're aftermarket wheels, check they don't need spigot rings and different bolts, all genuine VAG wheels use the standard M14 radius bolts whereas a lot of aftermarket ones are tapered bolts.

Thanks, If the hubs etc are same I would assume he has everything needed from when they were on his Leon :)
