What do you guys recommend?

Currently have

AMD 4200+ @2.2GHZ
3Gb DDR2 800 MHZ RAM
Nvidia 8400Gs ( Dont ask )
Generic 400W Psu

I want to get into Modern warfare 2 and other newer games

If i where to just buy a graphics card what would the best one be to get? That would fit this PSU
I was thinking ATI 5670 Or 9600Gt

Cant upgrade PSU otherwise i wouldnt have enough money for the graphics card D:

Shouldn't be trying to run anything semi-powerful on a "generic" psu m8, explosions/flames/dead hardware really is not a joke.

A friend is running the exact same set up/PSU and is running a 9600Gt on it, been running for around 9 months now :/

I think its 21 Amp on the 12V rail

Try and pick up a green edition 9600GT or 9800GT, should be a bit kinder on your PSU and doesn't need an external power connection.

The 5670 should run fine as it requires only power from the PCI_E slot, but that being said a generic Psu still should'nt be used. Generics never ever get to there advertised watts.

This.Probaly the most important part of any rig.
