EA Store 30% off this weekend

I thought I might be able to grab Bad Company 2 cheap but even with both discounts it's still more than a retail copy.

I wonder if a £10 CokeZone code will work too?

Done some playing about and it seems they've really tightened up on the code exploits:

-£5 and £10 cokezone codes require minimum spend of £15 and £25 respectively
-Can't combine £5 and £10 codes in the same transaction
-Myvouchercodes25% discount can't be applied in conjuction with cokezone codes

So basically the deal is this:
-If you are spending £15-£19.99, use a cokezone £5 code
-If you are spending £25-£39.99, use a cokezone £10 code
-If you are spending any other amount, use the Myvouchercodes25% code

Obviously, for the most "efficient" use of discounts, you want to be spending as close to £25 (on the plus side) as possible, as that gives 40% discount with the £10 cokezone code.

The good news is that this 30% off seems to be applied directly to the price of items, rather than using a code, so you will always get that up front regardless.

Personally I'm contemplating getting NFS World preorder and Dragon Age Origins, works out at £18.98 with a £10 code and includes a few extras.

I was going to say, the last great deal I ordered a couple pre-order titles, special editions for cheaper than you could get the normal editions in store, Dragons age being one of them, 25% off plus the weekend deal was, well, great value. Unfortunately its generally pre-order pricing thats not far off retail pricing(on certain games) on ea/steam/direct, so add some insane vouchers and you've got a steal.

So went to check the site and, this time they've learnt, no dodgey linking codes together and not valid on pre-orders. Most of these digital download stores have pretty awful pricing compared to retail on games already released though, retail gets competitive and heavy price drops, and quickly, ea/steam/direct really don't drop prices, for AGES.

Oh well.

Damn, just dropped a ********. ordered myself a £10 cokezone voucher to use on NFS world and it only works on items of £15 or more. Now I cant use it for the sake of a penny :(

Thanks!

Well, sort of... maybe. I really must stop reading forums like this and logging onto Steam. The very welcome fashion for cheap downloads is excellent, but this week I already managed to resist a great price for Modern Warfare2. I thought I was doing well!

However this EA offer give me access to Dragon Age at a time when my resistance is low. I'm really getting into The Witcher at the moment, so my Fantasy Freak is definitely on.... to coin a somewhat ugly phrase. :->

Which is a shame, because I have my iRacing addiction to feed with time, all the DLC for Fallout3 still to play, Mirror's Edge barely started (another Xmas offer!) oh, and I've been saving Mass Effect2 for when I have a few days off work and can really enjoy revisiting that universe. So the last thing I need is yet another game I've heard a lot of good things about! :-)
