the weather is getting warmer and my case has poor airflow

but my case looks nice so i plan to overcome my problem by installing a noisy fan to force more air through it

the ocuk product page for the delta 120mm ehe fan says 'no eta' , when are you going to get some in stock?

Also make sure you get some ear muffs as well...the deltas are freakin loud but great for cooling...you sould stick a fan controller on them to adjust the airflow if you like but honestly even at a low speed they are loud.

With my last rig running 2 x 120mm Delta TFB1212GHE fans, along with 3 x Vantec Tornados, I did strangely enjoy the sounds for short periods of time :D It was also most useful serving as a hand dryer, and a sock warmer for the winter months.

Ive noticed OCUK havent had them in stock for a while. The problem will be finding a stockist in the UK for them. At the moment I can only seem to find them from the US.

WARNING - You WILL NEED to run Delta's off a fan controller. They can pull up to 30W which is enough to burn out the mobo fan headers.

The only fan controller which I found that was capable of taking 30W per channel was the Sunbeam Rhebous Extreme. I had this hooked up to both Delta's and the Tornados and it handled them all perfectly.

ive got a panaflo 120x38 which might be an alternative for the delta. not quite as loud. or avc fans can punch some air, got a pwm 92x38mm on my zalman cnps9500 heatsink with a whopping 104 cfm @ 5000 rpm & a ear rattling 51 db. thankfully most the time its sat at 1800 rpm & upto 3500 rpm when it was really hot the other day.

I'd only consider installing Delta fans if I gamed with good full headphones.

Then it wouldn't be a problem...

*gaming with headphones. Mum comes into room*
Me: "What!????"
*takes headphones off*
Me: "What!????" :P

by the replies on this thread i get the feeling that i can expect my ocuk order for that delta fan to not ship for a loooong time :(
this rig will be used in a club so noise is not a concern

may wanna include some 120mm fan guards to the order there chief

unless of course you fancy a trip to A&E ;)

oh, and putting a delta on a fan controller is a very very silly idea

I remember when these fans were all the rage it's funny how times change, but yeah prolonged use of one of these will probably give you tinnitus. :p
