Over about a month each year Dad MOT's a selection of the owner of Swindon Insurance's cars, there's some mighty impressive stuff. Including a Ferrari 275 Pininfarina (Dad's favourite), an AC cobra (which fails the emissions test before the owner gives it the beans up the road and back, regardless of how wet it is), there's a Caddy which looks like it's just left the production line inside and out, there was a pristine old mini which has since been abused by his son

, much much more but only a selection gets an MOT each year.

I think I need one of these as my daily runabout. So lets see - cars lose about 45% of their value every 3 years. This one must be almost free

Doesn't quite work like that.

I know an old guy who has a 1930's MG roadster as his daily and a couple of ~1910 Steam powered cars as his weekend toys.

Actually I thought cars like this were exempt from the MOT?
A pal of mine has a few wartime vehicles and I'm sure he's said previously that they were.

Which covers one of them and the other is over 3.5 tonnes so is also exempt being pre 1960.
