**Dell Streak's Gorilla Glass screen: torture tested**

To be fair, that looks quite good.

I hope more phones will start using these sort of protective glass screens, with this kind of technology available there's no reason for people having to fit screen protectors and such.

Just need something that is immune to fingerprints, I'd pay good money for that. Oh yes.

*cringe* :(

Just looking at that video I didn't appreciate just how sexy it is. Unfortunately it probably is just a little too big for an every day phone or I'd be very tempted! The back though is a bit odd..

Having said that I do have big hands.... :p

I think it looks quite an ok device, but it's slightly too large to really be a phone.

They should just shrink it a bit and they might actually sell it well. (Assuming everything works as it should and it's not horribly flawed as you might expect from Dell) :p

I managed to smash my gorrilla glassed milestone by dropping it about 5ft. I must've been seriously unlucky?

...ermm no thanks...wont be trying that on my Desire...it wouldnt stand a chance in hell of surviving that sort of abuse:p.
pretty sure it uses same sort of glass... as does x10/nexus one/iphone etc. most the top phones tbh. same as whats used as watch glass

have a mate who when drunk and angry found out he can punch his satios screen full force and repeatedly without doing any damage. they scratch though

unfortunately, it seems like other manufactures of Android devices, they feel the need to dumb it down, and in the process they will cripple it. I hope this won't happen, but the one danger that android has is the fractured upgrades depending on the device. Even though that is not Googles fault, and if they decided to come across stricter on that front they would risk coming across like Apple.

Still, it does look tempting, and I've only had my HTC Desire for 4 days!

Desire is slightly cheaper I think, but then so may this be. Not a bad price at all, will be interesting to see how it holds up :)

Use it with bluetooth , also you can get it on contract with web based stuff only if you want to use a smaller phone.

Im at work just now but I will send you a link later.

I have a picture that took using it of my laptop on my facebook and I will take a video and upload it to youtube so that you can have a look.

Infact I will see if I can do a full review for you and post it on youtube il just record it Using my HTC HD2

Hmm, just read the engadget review and it looks nice...

UI is a bit plain but that's Android for you but apparently O2 is already testing out a 2.x version of the software to replace the 1.6 next month...

Still is it just a little too big?
