Job app : job interview : job offer ratio

:p

I've been successful in every job I have applied for. Which equates to 2 full time jobs, and about 4 or 5 part time jobs when I was still at school/college.

I'm good in interviews :)

Since 2003 when I really started hunting for jobs as opposed to 'falling into' jobs;

7:7:6

But of those 6 I only accepted 3, one of which I blew out for my current role before I even started. Apparently I interview well!

I went for an interview recently for an internet sales role. Considering I'd be good at the job I felt I didn't do very will in the interview. Was really nervous.

Considering I don't have my own transport it would have been hard for me to get to the job anyway. If only jobs that were more local came up.

Difficult to say exactly how many I've applied for, I'd say it's probably something like:

25/11/4

Looking at application figures for ratio comparison is a bit flawed though, I mean some people may only apply for jobs they have a fair chance of getting after considerable research, meanwhile others are just applying for dozens some of which are way out of their reach.

Interview:Offers is worth looking at though as in order to land an interview in the first place there must at least have been a slim chance of being considered for the job.

Personally I find interviews frustrating most of the time as I never seem able to work in kind of things I want to talk about, I just keep saying the first answer that comes into my head. Internal interviews are fine as I'm just naturally more confident as I know they will understand what I'm saying when giving examples, I don't feel like a 'fraud' when bigging up my achievements etc because they know it is true for a fact. I've heard some people say the opposite, that they don't like the idea of 'selling themself' to a company they already work for :)

I guess it can depend where you are in life. For example a new graduate with little experience is going to be spreading their seed far and wide so to speak and possibly not getting offers due to experience (which for ome of my non offers was the reason). On the other hand those with more years of experence behind their belt and in a job can pick and choose roles that they think they will like and know they have experience for.

After uni, applied for about 50 jobs, had 2 interviews, got 2 jobs

Previous to uni I have got every job I have had an interview for :)

When I finished uni I had a disaster of a time finding a job.
Must have applied to well over 100 jobs and only got 2 interviews.

Was offered both jobs though :p

For my 2nd job it was a 1:1:1

For my 3rd Job it was around 10:2:1

Looking for work in Strength and conditioning/Sports science/Fitness management
Prior to going to korea, which is a given for getting a job

I was around 60:6:0

since coming back for a month Im now

8:0:0
