Debadged the front grille today, opinions please?

Looks good debadged though. Looks a little like an R35GTR from the front :D

It's a mix of a flamer kit (well a spark plug in the exhaust) and my launch control - which cuts the ignition, but leaves the fuelling :D Does the trick.

Seems like there's starting to be a bit more of a favour for the lack of badge :cool:

Really, what does it matter if you get OcUK's 'approval'? If you like the way it looks **** what others think. Hell, look at the stick I got for my cage, but I couldn't give a **** who does or doesn't like it, I personally love the way it looks and that's all that matters :cool:

Is the launch control ignition cut through ECUtek remap or is it seperate like the Bee *r controller?

I had mine OS remapped and he put launch control on, its great ... only used it once tho :cool:

That's what makes them great! They are so distinct, I love the rumble of the boxer engine!

Thought about it and didn't want to insult somebodys car :(:o Wasn't talking about his car just those cars in general.

Drex,

It's not that I am seeking approval, but in this case, I'm genuinley not sure if I like it or not, and wanted to get the feelers out on opinions, as to me it doesn't look quite right as it's a standard front end, but I do like it. :confused:
 
Looks pretty turd without the grill badge to be honest, and the lack of foglights doesn't exactly look good either (even though i can see it serves a purpose!)

The way I did it was with a full wiring diagram of the ECU. Where are you located? I could always do it for you. They're expensive bits of kit though! The only reason I got it was because I got it for £80! If I were you I'd maybe just stick to the OS launch control??

Im not far from you, im in Wolves, i will see if i could get hold of one pre-used. Thanks for the kind offer of helping me fit it :) your scooby is awesome :cool:

Are you on scoobynet and do you go to the mids meets?
 
I am on Scoobynet, but don't go to any meets if I'm honest. Although the chap I got the grille off (sivo on SN) was trying to convince me to come, so I may show to one or two at some point. I need to hurry up and get myself a remap!

PS - Ideally this is the kinda look I want, except so that you can't see the air trumpets:
