Spec me a man flu game

the cake is a lie:p

hmm mass effect I got quite addicted to that

current addiction is just cause 2

tbh I didn't like X3 very over rated I through it was going to be a graphics show case, plus I like chassing after debirs :D

Why are the graphics not that great on X3?

I played Mass Effect when I had a 360 but didnt like it too much

I keep seeing people mention Just Cause 2, looks a bit daft but might give it a go when it comes down a bit

This Dragon Age is ok, combat is a bit weird, click on the person you want to fight and thats your lot, graphics look better in the screen shots but its not opened up properly yet I suppose

That was my only gripe with Dragon Age too,it looked strangely enough way better in screenshots than ingame.Hell i have an ATI 5970 in my pc and it still looks no way like in those screenies. Not sure how that's happening. But believe me:Dragon Age is one of the best games ever made...:D

Why didn't you like Mass Effect?Only started playing both games last week or so,but i REALLY enjoy them, and normally i HATE SciFi games lol

Only other gripe is why does the dog sit as if its joining in with conversations instead of doing dog related stuff

I'm a bit confused by the special combat thing too, witching between everyone to equip them and you cant really tell if there being used or not its confusing, other than that its good so far,its got me wanting to watch LOTOR

Not sure why I didnt like Mass Effect, I got stuck on it and could never get used to using a pad on 360 so I should give it a go on PC

Dragon age is a lot better and more enjoyable if you set up the combat rules properly for your party, that way you can just focus on what you want to be doing and micro just the occasional spell/ability for party members. Its a fairly simple logic set up, things like "if self <50% health :: use weakest health potion"
if self <20% mana :: use strongest mana potion"

you can do fun complex things for them too, as it goes down the page of rules so you can have someone cc a target that moves next to them, then as thats on cooldown the next rule triggers to get distance, then the last is "shoot last hit enemy at range" or if you want your dps to follow your targets that can be easily done too.

This Dragon Age is abit boring already, the story rips off the LOTR films, the ingame graphics are weak compared to the "conversation" graphics, the only action is between lengthy bouts of conversations...... go up the hill talk about someones uncle go back the down the hill talk about his sister.

The battles are a case of kill this wave, move into next room, kill that wave and the whole time you just click once on an enemy, the special abilities are driving me mental, some you press to use them, others you press and they appear as smaller symbols above the quick bar (does that mean the character will use them himself or not!?)

I think I need to try what Anim said, i'll give it another go later but all this conversation rubbish is driving me up the wall, I wouldnt mind but most of it seriously boring

Er...because there were guys with swords? Because that's about the only thing they have in common.

No, I have seen LOTR plenty of times, they have just swapped Orcs for Dark Spawn, Sauron for the Arch Demon (or whatever its called) and other little hints that I should have taken a note of for ammunition!

Its probably just me anyway, I dont usually play RPG's and dont have the patiance for them usually, the fact that nothing has blown up yet is quite strange to me, and the manflu isnt helping with concentration, going to go back on it in a bit and see if I can figure out the fighting balancing

I didn't say they was not, I mean the environment is just boring, unlike freelancer.

the textures and lighting is fine...its just everything else is meh

Personaly I found some of environment breathtaking, epsecialy when you add the music aswell. Boron Space for example is great to just fly around.

Yeah, they ripped off Band of Brothers too, excpet they replaced Hitler with an Archdemon and nazis with Darkspawn.

Other than the fantasy setting, which can't help but bear some similarities, the stories are completely different, but to be honest you don't sound like you have the patience to get into it.

Meh maybe you're right.

I figured out the tactics but it doesnt work properly, say I have surrounded by three enemies at tactic 1, sometimes the guy just stands there whilst the others get stuck in, or do tactics only come into play on the characters i'm not controlling!?

I'm still playing it, I have gone into this dream world type place though, bit weird

Tactics only effect characters you're not controlling.
