So i'm starting to agonise over the HD2, Desire and X10 as well as waiting and seeing what WinPho7 will be like and was just wondering what my perfect phone would be...

I'm thinking a nice 4~ inch rectangle with slightly curved corners and a screen that goes right to the edge (maybe a 0.5mm edge of case)(essentially the HD2), with 3 touch sensitive buttons at the base (like the HD). The back would have to be the same as the X10, with the same camera and the screen the same quality as the Desire.

Software wise I'd love to see the customisability and ability of WinMo with the speed of Android, the UI of WinPho7 (not sure how fast it will be yet) mixed in with a little HTC Sense and the programs and Apps of Android and WinMo (and iPhones).

Pure Sex! Beautiful front (essentially a screen with 3 buttons), nice curved back and a very sexy OS..

Oh and the battery life of my HD (or greater), which can last two days eaily on moderate use..

Now will someone make me one, I can't decide which one of the current phones is better, they all have their massive downsides. :(

So what's yours? (No 50 years in the future tech please, :p just stuff that could realistically be made in the next couple of years):D

The Desire, that can cook, and has a monster battery.

:p

They really need to invent/fix the batteries though, especially with Dual Core coming soon, that will annihilate your battery big time at this rate :(

I'd be happy with a phone like the desire, but with a xenon flash and upgraded camera quality, 720p video would be required too. The more memory/overall speed/battery life the better, obviously. If someone makes that phone by the time I come up upgrade (November) then they will definately be getting my money!

I want a voice controlled moby the size of a small pendant that hangs round my neck with a battery that lasts weeks as it charges through perpetual motion & solar rays.
It should also teleport me wherever i want to go. :D

I think the battery life looks a bit outlandish but the rest seems do-able.

As for shape and dimensions = the ipod touch (think it's the latest one), super slim with a curve. Also as mentioned a battery that lasts ages!

Better battery life for a start.

Its all good having dual core CPU's with integrated GPS, GPU's, 720/1080p video capture, larger/high res screens. But whats the point if we're still using the same battery tech from 10 years ago?

Its like sticking a 1 litre fuel tank in a Ferrari, the fun is over very quickly.

One with a battery that lasts a week.

WITHOUT turning off all of the features.

There are loads out there that can do that.;)

Just get one of those £10 jobbies!:p

Ooh, flash, forgot about that. It's something I really miss about my K850.

Why does everyone have a hard on for sense? Never really found it that appealing.

Because WinMo and Android UIs are both just plain and boring without any skins (same with mobile OSX but you can't skin that)...

I would say the same for the people that want rid of Sense almost as soon as they get the phone.

Now of someone could tell me 10 GOOD tangible advantages of not having Sense then I may think diff

x10 but rooted and with a xenon flash

I am so tempted by the X10, just the screen and the fact it isn't rooted yet is putting me off.

The screen because compared to the Desire it seems quite flat, although the HD2 shares the same fate, and the rooting because I like the option to stick new things on and get faster ROMs, such as Sense enabled ones, and i'm not sure i'll really need timescape (and the reasonably minor fact it's not the latest ROM).

No longer the case with custom Launchers and so on though.

What's that?

Know something we dont?

They've used perpetual motion to wind up watches for years, I can't understand why there isn't the same device in a moby that at least helps with battery life.
Watch makers are some of the best engineers out there, I have faith in there skillz. :)
Bring on my perpetually charged moby.

Any engineers who nick my idea without slinging some cash my way will get a visit. :D

the screen is great. its just android 1.6 holding the amount of colours back. once its updated via either SE or root it will support the proper however million colours

not having root is disappointing though :(
