It's finished (crash content) (now incl. new car content!)

As I said on the other forum, unlucky mate it's very slippery out there today.
Looks repairable provided the suspension pick up points are intact/straight?

Neil.

That's very repairable even if they were to write it off. Let me know if you have the chance to buy back the salvage...

Everything is repairable, but is it worth it?

I'm sure if the buy back is reasonable it may be worth it to break as i assume the interior and engine are still good.

Remember there are 2 things you can take away from this,

You're ok (main thing) and you have a cool story for many years, of how you destroyed a Lotus.

Phate the mechanical repair expert, who can't even see the chassis from the pictures.

He has significant experience in cars with bent chassis though...

Ouch! Doesn't look a total loss in terms of getting it back on the road but the insurance company will probably write that off :(

As ever, at least you still have your heath and know your mistake and take responsibility for it.

I did a 180 turning right onto a NSL road after going through a green light on the junction and I ended up using my right foot to make it a full 360. I will agree to giggling like schoolgirl at my epic skillz but it a huge amount of luck I didn't collect anyone or hit something. Too fast for the conditions in a car im still not fully used to. Lesson learnt!

At least someone stopped. I once had my motobike smashed into thousands of pieces blocking 1.5 lanes of an nsl country single carraigeway and it took 30 cars for someone to stop :(

Front suspension points looked OK. If it's needs a couple months in the repair at Castle then so be it. It's my fault so my punishment!

Well done for being a man about the situation!

IIRC clams for these cars cost stupid amounts (couple of k per end without any paint if my memory is correct).

How much is the car worth? Cause that looks like 8k plus of damage.

You will no doubt learn from your mistake and move onto.. lighter and faster things ;)

*sigh*

Yes obviously from a low resolution photo I gave it a full diagnosis and said it was repairable.

Or I said it 'looks' repairable and definately something worth looking into imo.

But hey, nothing like being negative about a situation eh.

bad luck mate, could have been much worse not that its much of a consolation now! having damaged a few of my own :P (albeit lower value and rover!)

*also shocker as fox posts yet another constructive and helpful post*
