You've got absolutely no idea what you are talking about, so why bother?

Oh I dunno, making conversation? Ever considered it? :p

Better than just making stuff up :p

Wait, making stuff up, or assumptions from considerable Rover repairs....hmmm...:p

Ah well, as long as you're ok and you learn from it, then all is well.

These things happen, fingers crossed for a speedy return to the road (repaired or otherwise).

:(

Glad you're ok, at the end of the day, it's a car, not a huge deal. Also, well done on admitting fault, so many on here don't when they have accidents. :)

PMSL, I repair Rovers so I can tell that that Elise's tracking might be ok :D. Actually weeping a bit here :(.

I repair Rovers so I can afford to dump 17k on a Diesel Golf.

Glad someone in this thread has their facts straight.

I'm sure Phate is of no comfort to NathanE :p

Now now, I've never insulted him before. And regardless, I'm a nice guy, if the same happened to you I'd still try and be reassuring, despite our 'history' :p

Remember this moment folks, Fox and Robbie G nearly had moment here :p

Rarer than Haley's comet :p

Seriously hope it's not as bad as it seems Nathan. Have a good trip and deal with it when you get back.

Feel free not to answer this, but did you "lose it" on a bend or a straight?

Was caught off guard myself today. Fortunately I managed to saved it, Luck of the draw I guess...

Good luck getting it all sorted.

From the looks of that I would be pretty surprised if the suspension pick up points were damaged but you can never tell. I've got a mate would could probably have that as good as new for about £2k tops, assuming he was buying salvage. The cost to fix it for an insurer would be much greater though.
