Favourite pizza takeaway?

Eww, I don't get how any one can buy pizzas from Dominos and Papa Jonh's.

The local Pizza places in my area beat them by a large amount, my favourite is "Hot 'n' Tender" they make good pizzas and are pretty cheap. £4 for a 10" Pizza with 2 toppings, a fries and a can of drink. Great value to me.

what dont you get? that people are different?

:p

Aye, I have found quite a few places with offers like that in the last few weeks.

Kind of sad really, it sums up the health of the 1/2 million people who live here.

Why people by pizzas that are so expensive and are poor quality. £10 for a 9" Pizza should be made illegal.

On the menu Papa Johns are very expensive but you can always barter with them a bit. I can get a 11.5" pizza with 4 toppings, large bottle of lemonade and chicken dippers for £11.99 which is slightly better. That isn't so bad a deal for that price, you get mozzerella instead of chedder don't forget. Though when you do look at how much pizzas cost e.g. Chicagos, Goodfellas, Dr. Oetkar at 2 for £4 at some supermarkets you gotta start wondering..:p

Robertos Pizza, Wall Heath, Kingswinford, West Midlands.

If you ever pass through, try it. Or don't, because it will forever ruin every other pizza you ever have for you.

Pizza Ristorante for me!

Don't do overpriced take away.
had a hard time finding a nice supermarket pizza.
The best i've had was a one from waitrose like 6 years ago. It was like olives and ham or something.
Really simple (was young) but was delicious untill they stopped selling them.

Tried making my own but I either put to much of this or not enough of that and of course cook it for to long/less

What annoys me about Dominos is the inflexible delivery areas, the one that delivers to me is crap but another which is damn good (and less than 2 miles away) won't deliver because they'd be intruding on the other stores' delivery area.
It's fine to do that round here.

Taw hill is closed quite early but I can ring up old town or west swindon and they'll deliver on the taw hill patch.

Pizza Hut, the stuffed crust on a 14" base.

Soooo nice but over 1000 cals PER SLICE.

Damn them.

None of the big chains deliver to my area (just ... by about 100 yards in each direction ... we fall in a hole between catchment areas). When I was living at home I used to get Dominos as I found Pizza Hut to salty.

Now it's order (via fillmybelly.com) from one of the local pizza places. Once I use is not to bad (unfortunately the one I really liked appears to have closed). Normally get two large pizzas for £11 which lasts me for dinner one day and cold for lunch the next.

Personally I find the supermarket pizzas pretty tasteless.

I quite like the ASDA stonebaked create your own pizzas. a 14" is only a little over £3. It's an absolute bargin when cutting back for whatever reason.

Didn't believe a word about this being any good when a colleague told me about it. Thankfully I was so wrong :)

Forgot to add this is made fresh in store, you go to a counter and ask for them to make it, not grab one from the Frozen area.

They're all overpriced, even the ones that offer 2 for 1 deals. Supermarket pizzas are every bit as good as those bought at a takeaway. Sainsbury's do a 12" pepperoni, mozzarella and roquito sweet pepper pizza for ~£4.

I've only just come to this conclusion recently :) I still had the Pizza Hut rose tinted glasses on.
The Takeaway Pizza's (Chigago Take Away?) and Goodfellas Deep pan are much better than any overpriced and mostly undercooked offerings from Pizza Hut. I've never tried Domino
