I have no idea other then him being some sort of crazy that could drive someone to do this.
It started at 10.30 as well and the police still havent found him yet. I wonder if the normal police couldnt give chase because they were unarmed. Might have been different if there were more armed police.
The news just said that they are having to being armed police from all the surrounding forces.

Apparently it's drive by shootings, according to the Telegraph, so I'd imagine everyone injured/killed was innocent and minding their own business.
Armed police from manchester and helicopters would only be an hourish out, and they won't be the closest, seems odd that they'd wait until now.

The problem is cross county communications, as each unit is only able to operate within its country's boundaries resulting in the massive time it takes to react to issues.

Exactly, banning stuff doesn't necessarily work, people will just find something else to use...
It's such a shame that the first thing on a lot of peoples lips is "ban it" as soon as something bad happens. Selfish TBH.
