I wonder how many more of these bombs are left unexploded all over Europe. Also are bombs more efficient now as 500kg seems like a big ass bomb.

Technically they bombed themselves with our bomb. If a british rifle was found and a german shot another german, would would still be invading?

Happens over here too, just not as often.
I saw one detonated just outside Marsden in South Shields, trawler pulled it up from the depths. Was a massive bomb too!
One of the biggest bombs used was the Tallboy

12000 lb of bomb! It was used to crack open U-Boat pens.
500kg was about average at the time!
