PCI 2.1 and PCI 2.0?

Hello, after having a fellow member on this site build me a PC, I scoped out a few reviews of the graphics card and they were excellent. I then searched around and found that another model was released that dominates. The problem is, I'm concerned about the PCI 2.0 and PCI 2.1 deal. The video card says it's PCI 2.1, but the motherboard only has PCI 2.0... Will the graphics card work, or would I need a different motherboard?

New Graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150491

Previously Recommended card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447

Edit: Can someone also explain the difference between the memory on each? One of the cards says DDR5, the other says GDDR5.

Thanks guys. :)

1) so called PCIe 2.1 cards will work with PCIe 2.0 motherboards

2) one is falsely marked as DDR5, there is no such thing (technically they're both GQDR2, Graphics Quad Data Rate v2)

probably not worth the risk of a long break :p

Anyway as above, it's all generally backwards/forwards compatible between the PCI-E versions
