Motherboards with 4x PCI Express x16 Slots!!!

Hi Guys,

I am conducting an interesting project at work, which will involve using GPUs to decrypt protected files/disks and would like some advice on the hardware side of things.

Several software solutions that we use for this purpose, support the use of multiple GPUs within the same machine (up to 4 GPUs / without SLI or XFire). I would like to know if there are many/any boards out there that support 4x PCI Express x16 Slots, so that I can add 4 GPUs into the same workstation?

Any help on the matter would be appreciated,

GIGABYTE UD9 MOBO has 4 x16 pci express slots priced at £465.99 (I'm not getting the whole part of without xfire or sli bit?)

This mobo doesn't fit any many cases, however. :eek:

I just went by the description: PCIE x16 (x4 slots)

An external review more says they run in x8 when fully populated.

Since the op mentioned workstation this thing http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/motherboards/2010/01/27/evga-w555-dual-xeon-motherboard/1 is probably the daddy. 7 x16 slots, usual dual cpu/boatload of ram but more importantly it built for over-clocking

Pity it's not quit out yet, despite several reviews

Probably a good thing, seeing as they still haven't talked about price
