Hi, bought a lovely Videomate E900F from here a few weeks ago, but the ComproDTV program keeps crashing, can anyone recommend any third party software to play the TV through, or is there a way of getting WMP to do it?

Failing that, anyone had any issues with the software that came with the card?

Bah, ignore me, I'm being dense this morning, forgot about Windows Media Center.....

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm running a different card, but using the latest DTV and have endless problems (crashes, freezes, loss of background...) - Hadn't thought to use Media Centre as my previous card was not supported - will try this - great tip - thanks!

Using WMC here with that card and it works a treat. Loads better than the Compro bundled software (which crashes for me as well...)

It downloads the full Freeview guide and does the whole pause live tv and setup recording schedules thing as well. :)

So far so good, WMC and that card work a treat, a LOT better than the awful program that comes with the card.

PIcked up more channels as well :)

Not for me anyway, got a media center streaming to a bunch of 42" TV's in the building, rather cool

WMC is the best tool for the job if you're running windows. Only problem is the microsoft video codec is absolutely dire, and there's no way I know to change it without sacrificing certain features.

MediaPortal! :)

Is a half-finished, bug-ridden heap of junk.

Have to agree with the few times I've tried it over the years. GBPVR is the most stable HTPC software I've used and it brilliantly supported (new major version due out any day). WMC is OK but lacks flexibility.
