Unlikely it would've been the BMW due to leather crease risk but then again the Golf isn't as high quality as the BMW.

It happened on Tuesday. Weather was carp. Though that's no excuse.

Doh! Sorry :/ I'm sure it did have a part to play mate....as you are probably more than aware its a different car in the wet.
Sucks though....but like others have said could have been MUCH worse.
Time to move on now though nothing you can do now...hope your sticking with the Lotus family though!

I stacked my pride and joy at Castle Combe on a test day, getting it ready for an MSA sprint. It broke my heart.
Still, I kept what i could and re-shelled the engine. It won't seem like it now, but things will soon improve and you'll be back out enjoyng it.

OK well here's an update for anyone that's interested / cares about some minor OCUK poster...
1. They've written it off
2. Valued it at £16,400
3. It doesn't feel like some bad nightmare to me anymore, I'm pretty much over it now. I may have to use the "leave the country when something bad happens" meditation more often
4. I'm close to putting a deposit on a 2006 111R Sports Racer
