Now i have doubt, is there any problem with eating potatos that have sprouted while in storage?

A friend told me i'm supposed to cut that whole section away
 
Cut the green bits off they should be fine. I think.

Now you have me wondering too...

Or plant them. Keep them watered and by magic get free potatoes.
 
You will be fine. I learnt this first hand from my mother who is probably the worlds tightest person lol.

We live on a potato farm, and harvest about 1000 tonnes of spuds a year, yet she still insists on feeding us on the rejected stock feed and green ones.

Jesus Christ man, its a disgrace that you're not based in Ireland! Cork or Ballymena, tight fisted havens :)
 
You're going to eventually turn into a potato.

Seek medical advice. If it was within the last 24 hours you may just become a Jersey Royal, after that period you're going to become a King Edward.
