Travel Insurance

I'm looking at travel insurance for a 5 day trip to europe for two adults.

I've had a look at the comparison websites - moneysupermarket, MSE etc.

There seem to be tens of companies offering travel insurance -

Does anyone have any companies they recommend or ones to avoid?

Currently looking at Top Dog, Virgin, Protect your Bubble etc. Would prefer a policy with zero excess.

Price isnt an issue - All are showing <£20 for a policy but any recommendations would be a great help

Do you even need it? You are covered for medical expenses anyway presumably, so really its just worthless crap like 'loss of posessions' - did you lose your phone last time you went into town? No. So why would you lose it in Paris or wherever?

I've used http://www.insureandgo.com/ a few times. Seem reasonable.

Not had to make any claims yet of course.

erm yeah he will need travel insurance for any medical bills incurred abroad.

EHIC only covers for basic medical needs - So it would be stupid not to get insurance even if its only to cover medical assistance.

Sometimes you get free travel insurance with your bank, i do with A&L.

Worth a check?
