Peugeots, most hated cars?

Peugeot, as a company, never produced much worth writing home about and were on the verge of collapse before the masterstroke that was the 205. There followed a rich vein of form until about, ooh 1998 or so and then it rapidly went downhill again.

The 307 in particular is a horrendous creation. I would only ever consider buying the following Peugeots:
205 GTI
309 GTI
306 Rallye/GTI6
406 Coupe
106 GTI
106 Rallye

The rest can go in the bin to be honest.....

What he said.

We had 3 106's from new, they were all crackers in the day.....even if the XND was the slowest car EVER made........EVER!

I've said categorically that after owning a Laguna I will never buy a French car again.

I'm not a fan of Jap cars either (read korean/asian in general).

I don't have anything against Tegs, Evo's, Scoobies or GTRs I just wouldn't buy one.

From my sweeping generalisation point of view:

French – Unreliable and generally rubbish
Jap – Expensive and poor interiors
Korean – ****
VAG (excluding the prestige cars obviously) – bland

I've pretty much whittled down my choices to Alfa, BMW or Mercedes...

Talk about Champagne taste and beer money.

Lol I spent a few hours in the wheel arch of a 2002 laguna ii :(.

21mm and 16mm sockets:confused: ball joints with cheese allen key bits :(

I currently have a 106 gti. Owned for 3 1/2 years now. Ive not had that many problems but id never buy one again (as in a french car, or atleast a pug). They dont feel well built, rattle like crap! I'm expecting mine to explode with problems sooon (S Reg, 82k so far)

205 GTi
106 GTi
106 Rallye
306 XSi
306 GTi
309 GTi
Clio Williams
Clio Trophy
R26R

To name but a few epic cars made by the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys in the 'normal' category. Sure when you lot get em with 10 trillion miles on and 20 years later they may rattle a bit but when new they were epic cars that were top of their class.

Dunno who this bloke is but he knows what he's talking about.

Top end french stuff is hardly bad is it? Performance clios, meganes etc arn't bad, and stuff like the C6 comes off very well in tests, epic depriciation aside.

My Mum has had a 307 in France for 6 years (now sold) and a UK 307 for a year and has never had any problems with them  *touch wood*

I've owned my Clio 182 for 5 weeks and the engine blew up :(

i've had a 306 and a 106, both pretty reliable really. In fact i've got the 106 now, cost me £650 3 years ago and its never let me down yet.

In fact, i've just bought a kitchen from what i would have spent on car loans in that time.

I'll get getting rid as soon as i can now though ;)
