Hi everyone,

Just looking for opinions about the website:

URL REMOVED.

Let me know what you like and don't like about it.

Thanks

Things I don't like:

1. It uses Flash.
2. There is music.
3. Takes a long time to load up.

I like it, it's crisp and clean.
I'd have personally done it with html/css and just laid it over the flash video. I'd also lose the music, nobody likes being forced to listen to something they didn't choose themselves.

Flash isn't allowed in the office I'm at today (fairly common, about half of our clients have it blocked) but the bits I -can- see look fine! :p

A HTML/CSS version is in the works, we haven't forgotten that, it was mainly a look at the flash part.

There will also be an iPhone, iPad compatible version as well.

why did you remove the link?

i like the idea of it, but don't really get the point of the video? it gives the impression like you're an Apple fan boy and wanted to make a fuzzy video to show it.

link was removed due to the fact the other partners didn't want links in forums. And the videos just there to show what we use for our development.

I clicked the link and had no idea what it was about or anything.

Point. Thanks for the info.

I agree with all three of these.

If i was to use add a flash video as some sort of focal point i would use it as a banner or something and have a stationary alternative if they don't have flash installed - gracefully degrading the experience as opposed to forcing them to dl flash.

Another thing, if you do have flash installed you just get a blurry image of a desk moving around with no idea what on earth you do without delving deeper which has no relation really to what you do.

I don't like the fact that i have a large screen and your site only covers a tiny bit of it but to navigate the portfolio of 5 things i have to scroll  I also thing the font is too small.

Plus you have a large bit in your services about being a web design company who can accommodate small to large web projects but are asking for advice on your site, doesn't really inspire too much confidence in me ;)

But don't get me wrong the design does looks really nice and clean ;)

Thanks, I get what you mean, there will be some changes, we are still working on the HTML/CSS version

I'm no web design buff but as an average user I'll give my input. :)

I like the simplicity of the site, the flash video in the middle though did get a little distracting/annoying as I was trying to read the other sections. I like the color scheme and I think the red bar with the links contrasts really well with the grey/white.

Nice colours. Hate the flash.

As above, if you must have a flash video, make sure it is not important. The bulk of the site should be HTML/CSS. You don't need flash for such a basic site.

I also agree that it is too small. Don't ever make people scroll if you can possibly help it.
