If given the choice of anywhere in the world, what city/area would you move to
(the given area needs to have a job that you are suitably qualified for near-by though)

Forgot that I didn't post where I'd live in the OP ...

Has to be the Los Angeles area for me, wouldn't really care where in it

I might be able to manage it if I get a good overall grade in my degree and a decent job to start with next year :D Plenty of automotive/mechanical companies located there, and plenty have UK/EU operations so international movement down the line is possible were I to work for their EU operation

EDIT: And this thread came about due to me spending the past 90min drunk and looking at LA on street view

I don't know which area

However:
Speak english
Cheap land
Low house planning permission standards
Lake or sand dunes/desert
Trials for dirt bikes/quads/cycling
Hunting
Railway line for job.

Think that pretty much makes it some place in America.

Cmon, need an EXACT place here
i.e. what place interests you, or do you really not care beyond the above?

This, if it had those I wouldn't really care where it was.

I want to build extensions, be pretty much self sufficient very l;arge garden and potter around making and doing things on a whim, although live in a village/small town. And have lots of places to go for dirt biking/cycling

Fair enough I guess

I mean, I wouldn't personally want to live in the middle of no-where in say Arizona
Then again, I wouldn't want to live in London either due to it being a dump

I'd probably move back to Vancouver for a while, probably North Van for preference although Central is a bit livelier. However there are loads of interesting places around the World that I'd like to visit and maybe I'd like them enough to live there. However longer term I'd strongly consider moving home to Edinburgh but that's a long way off right now.

I've always wanted, and will probably always want a house somewhere in or around LA, as well as a penthouse in Vegas for the weekend. Perfect.

Failing that, I'd like to go to the other extreme and live in the middle of nowhere, like on a tropical island with no inhabitants. Kind of like the island in LOST. I could just sit there all day, drifting away, thinking about everything.
