Second night running I've had to just leave Beer Drinkers due to sheer rage. I don't what it is about this game, but if I'm not in a squad with people I know (and can talk with), it turns into a total mind****.

same thing here, though i dont use voice coms, every game this last couple of days has been extremly hard, maybe lots of people running hacks as just cannot go or move anywhere without being shot, allways on the loosing side round after round is no fun at all

What is it with this game that tank shells seem to have no splash damage and require a near direct hit? Was shooting at a guy on a quad earlier, i registered hits no less than 3 times according to the crosshair and still he was alive scooting around.

im finding this too, and i have also found this has happened suddenly and its been a long time since i remember seeing a kick/ban message on a server for someone bottin

I dunno how true other people think it is, but I find a lot of squads with randoms that are higher rank care about k/d and if you go in a squad with lower ranked players its more rip and run towards objectives on Rush model.

Just had it confirmed to me first hand how insanely CPU <3'ing this game is. My setup is a Core2Duo 3GHz / GTX260, My dad just had his new i5 750 thrown together whilst still using his 8800GT (5850 inc in a couple of weeks)... It runs so impossibly smooth on the quad compared to the dual even with a much worse graphics card it made me cry a little :(

Q6600 ownz :D

whoops should have gone to bed :-/

noticed ur @ eyefinity.. quick couple of questions if you dont mind.. hows Bc2 with it? how much FPS % do you lose going from 1 to 3 screens? is it worth me spending ~£750 on another couple of screens? :o

Then get yourself on Knub's Vent - we need some more regulars to keep the numbers up while people are on holiday or having internet installed or spending all their free time with kittens :D voice comms makes it so much more fun (Squad DM on Vent is pure awesome) - don't worry if you have a squeaky voice, cos Squark sounds like a girl.

Miss me do ya Pookie
You knows it, K-dude :(

Had some late night lols on sas with some randoms last night. Was repair tooling an enemy tank in the water and the solo engineer jumped out to repair it so I repair tooled him and then stole the tank (all nicely repaired thank to him) and killed 2 more enemies before some chump with an RPG did what they do best and tubed me into the sky ^_^

I also have it on good authority that Pookie sounds more like a girl - I have proof too, best get on vent to hear it TBH :p

be nice if there were ranked servers that did not count k/d ratio, be awesome to have slug fests of entire squads just storming without the gays worrying about there k/d

It's awesome on triple screens, takes a bit of getting used to but very immersive. Three screens only cost me £300, no way I would pay £750  for just two! Check out members market for second hand bargains or look for refurbs, got mine as refurbs from another member, he paid £115 each from a competitor so cant link but they came with a full 3yr transferable warranty from Dell, perfect condition. 3x20" is fine for me, totally fills my peripheral vision, takes up less desk space and has slightly fewer pixels than 3x24" so can get more frames.

Frame rate is not bad at all, 5870 is perfectly able to handle this res (5040x1050, 5340x1050 with bezel management applied) all settings on high between 50-70 fps with no AA. My frames seem to have gone up by approx 10fps since swapping out Q6600 @ 3.6GHz to Q9550 @ 3.6GHz (still trying to get it stable above 4GHz) so I will try adding 2xAA as 35 fps in this game is perfectly playable.

Regarding the adapter, it seems people have have success with a passive DP->VGA adapter which can be found for as little as £12, rather than paying £80 for the active DP->DVI adapter - see here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18140392&highlight=username_creed.

Any more questions feel free to ask.
