I need a CPU, motherboard and 4GB memory below the £400 mark. Can this be beaten?

£399.95 with free delivery, comes with a great heatsink but needs a quiet fan to make a good use out of it.

Core i5 750 will easily smash a dual core to the ground and wee over it. Superb overclocking board plus a decent RAM kit inc.

What, are you going to use the fan from the stock cooler on that heatsink?

What's your problem? I'm not suggesting any fan, just stating it needs one, preferably a quiet 120mm.

Your bundle is also a nice performer, I'd personally go for a 1600MHz DDR3 kit as Phenom II X6 1055T is not a BE one.

EDIT: Radon AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.80GHz @ 3.60GHz Overclocked Bundle is another choice if you don't overclock yourself.

Which would take them over budget, pointless when you can easily stay under with great parts.

What will you be using it for by the way? Do you already have a cooler?

If you do need a cooler then there's tons of good options at £30, turning what i said before completely on it's head the heatsink Krugga suggested with a Yate Loon for £3.50 (free delivery) that i just found would probably be the best choice.

I didn't even realise the CPU I picked was only dual core, I assumed all the i5 and i7 series were all quad cores and above!
It's only to replace the bits I have in my sig, starting to feel it's age.

Well looking at your sig you might want to upgrade the 8800GT it should help in gaming if you game a lot.

that said, i have some platinums here. they more-or-less work...

and yes, OCZ have had some quality control issues recently - try a set of G.Skills, I am loving my set
