Rage Against the Machine - Sunday 6th June 2010, Finsbury Park, London, UK

I expect people may not like to hear it, but it's a free gig, surely it was worth paying a token amount for registered post?!

I accept those who had their tickets bought by others had no choice.

True, although given the oppertunity I would have paid if I had been able to get through to the site! Luckily, thanks to these forums being what they are, most of my friends and I are hopfully going.

It's one thing to complain about not getting tickets to a free gig but its another thing for the event organiser/SeeTickets to allow fans to think they are going and then not deliver. Some sort of **** up has happened as the amount of people left without their tickets is quite high looking at the Facebook group comments.

Oh well, here is hoping they sort it and everyone who should be getting in don't miss out!

Found two it may be, but there miles apart ! Heard you can take in food for own consumption & 500ml bottled water !! ( lots of beer for me )
Where did you hear this? If you can take food in I'd like to know. Saves paying a fortune for a greasy burger or whatever crap they have going. :p

On the back of the ticket, it says food for personal consumption and bottles under 500 ml allowed but not your own alcohol.

LoL, a little look on google, & a few tips...

To remove the plastic cap w/o breaking the taper-resistant safety ring seal from any plastic bottle-
• heat one cup of water in microwave til it boils
• hold bottle upside down and insert bottle's top
approx. 1" into hot water for 45 seconds.
• remove bottle and immediately and slowly
unscrew bottle cap.

The hot water makes the plastic ring more flexible - and therefore easier to remove.

-----------

screwdriver to lift the skirt over the threads.

--------------

use a printer cartridge syringe to fill a bottle, then superglue over the small hole you made in the cap to fill.

Think printer cartridge syringe sounds best :)

Ah man, just had the best news ever! My tickets will be there for collection from the booth on the day of the Gig.

Following on from my post above where I called them last night for the woman to tell me that they hadn't been dispatched and someone from customer service would contact me that evening or today.

The call just came and the relief is incredible. Just need to make sure I take all my ID!

There is a God after all!

Oh great, N4 2DH postcode (Finsbury Park Station) BBC Weather forcast for the day is showing a BIIIIG ass cloud of rain over most of London.

A little early to be 100% accurate in what is going to happen but it looks like the evening clears up a bit. Hopefully clearing up before 8:50-9:15pm :D

What time are people aiming to get there? I was going to meet up with my mates at 1pm but I can't see the point if the first band isn't on until 5pm?

Good to hear! I'll bounce into you there :D.
Hope you all have a great time!

I've just received a second set of my own tickets.. this time without the face pictures and just some text along the lines of Photo ID required.

Very strange!

I can honestly see this being another hillsborough....................and I am not joking.

Ah crap. I cannot make it. If anybody knows anybody who wants to go and is willing to take a punt with my ticket it is yours.

You just need to get it from Wallingford which is in Oxfordshire.

Finsbury park is a big old field on a slight up incline going away from the stage if I remember correctly. It's really quite massive. It should house 40-50k people quite easily.

I'm sure there will be enough security presence there to handle any trouble.
