Battlefield 2142

Hello,

I like many others right now have been bitten by the BC2 bug, I'm absolutely loving the game it's my first Battlefield game ever purchased (playing it on PS3). I haven't really played anything on my PC in a few months and I've been looking for a good game, would BF2142 fit the bill? It looks like a good game I think it'll be a nice change of pace from BC2, can any of you let me know if this is worth going for? What's the online community like is it still active?

2142 never really took off

if you want a variation on BF2 try the reality mod for BF2.

i aint played bf2142 in months, but it was ok.....bf2 was a lot better and still has a large comunity

I hammered 2142, cant remember how many hours I put into it but it was a lot. I think it was one of the best ones but then again I love all BF's

The vehicles were the best bit, so easy to contol and so much fun

Its good but it all gets rather silly when the shields are down ie claymore town

Not really, and thats only titan mode anyways. You can crouch past apm's, its usually blind teammates that run past and set them off!

2142 is a majorly under rated game. BF2 veterens will say its rubbish and futuristic filth. Others will an open mind will see it as a very good 'sequel' to BF2.

For the price it will be to pick up now, its a bargain and lots of fun

I did it the other way around really, started on 2142 and got seriously annoyed at it then went to BF2 and loved it. Nothing to do with not wanting change, BF2 is just a better game in mine and most people I knows opinion.

If you want a variation on BC2 then 2142 isnt really a good shout.

titan mode was great

makes me wish bad company 2 had something similiar.

2142 is a great game , i played em all. in fact all BF games are good, but i think bf1942 with the desert combat mod was/is the best off all. More skill than hiding / hax use.

Had some fantastic games

Squad play/commander ruled the day

2142 was ok, i didnt play it for long really, bf2 is much much better....i have some of the foundest uni memories ever of that game .. (everyone in my 2nd year flat played it constantly, still remember the 3am sessions! lol)

2142 had better hit reg and better squad play. Loved it, shame about the vehicles, not as good as bf2s.

bf2142 is great, not as good as bf2 but you can't roam around in a mech in bf2

My vote would be for BF2 personally. Logged something like 250 hours on it.
