Hi,

I have some alloys coming and want to know if anyone can recommend a fitter in the Dover/Folkestone/Ashford/Canterbury area? Now I realise fitting tyres should be the easiest thing in the world but I have had some bad experiences with poor balancing and as these will be brand new, dont want a numpty to scratch them.

It also occured to me that it might be nice to have a sticky in the motors forum where people can list garages in their local areas who they recommend. Especially good indies as they are often hidden away on industrial estates with minimal advertising.

Thanks

Since this died a complete death I have a quick question about spiggots. This might sound daft but should I attach the spiggot to the wheel hub or back of the alloy itself?

Also as the new wheels came with new nuts, is it worth putting a smidge of copper grease inside each one to make them less likely to stick?

Wheel nuts don't usually stick, it's usually the alloy to the hub if anything is going to. Give the hub a very night coat of copper grease to ease this.
