I posted my nintendo wii on the website "swapz" and I get this email from a so called Daniel Collins , heres what he said

Thanks for your mail, am willing to buy this item, how much is your
last price for it so that i can offer you ??? and i can make the
payment asap.

am wait for your reply asap. <----- Bad English much , but I didnt take much notice

Next

okay i will give you 170 including cost of shipping to my friend's
address so do email me your paypal account name and email address so
that i can make the payment asap.<---- So I sent him my paypal address and waited for the money to be sent

He then says he sent the money but no notification from paypal at all , this is the best part LMFAO

I'll like to inform you that i have made the Payment via PayPal, find
below the name and address where i want the item to be sent.

Name: Fakorede Edword
Address: DKL, Alpha Photo, apata
City: Ibadan
State: Oyo
Zipcode: 23402
Country: Nigeria.

Do send the package as soon as possible first thing tomorrow morning
today via first class Mail
from Post Office) and email the shipment number to PayPal to complete the
transaction.

Please this is an urgent Order so i want the item to be sent as soon as
possible Tomorrow morning.

And no money has been sent at all stilll... I then told him that no money has been sent which it hadnt btw

I have already made the payment via PayPal and PayPal have deducted
the whole amount from my account, i got a mail from PayPal informing me that
the total amount will be credited into your account immediately they confirm
that the package has been shipped and they have received the shipment
tracking number to confirm the shipment.

They stated that this measure was putting on this sale because you have low
or no feedback on paypal, so i want you to get the item shipped as soon as
possible and email them the shipment number to complete the transaction.

I have already completed my own part of the transaction so i want you to
comply with them so that things can work fine.
Await you to ship the item as soon as possible today and email me them the
shipment number.

Thanks.

Then I tell him staright, that I think its a dodgy nigerian scam and that im not sending anything , he then says this today

Hello, have you send the item? please if you have not send the item
make sure you send it today and email the shipment tracking number to
paypal to verify the shipment and credit your account and also get
back to know if the transaction is completed.

please make sure you make it send today because is so that the person
can received it at time.

Thanks.

So what shall I do about this guy?? He blatantly is trying something dodgy
P.S Can someone walk me through about sending items and receiving money through paypal??

Generally speaking, if you have to ask it probably is a scam.

Country: Nigeria.

Whenever you see that, you know its a scam :)

Not sure to do about paypal. Have you recieved any payment?

1: Stop engaging in conversation with a Nigerian scammer
OR
2: Toy with him like on that famous website of which the name escapes me where by they bait such scammers. Or post his details there.

Seriously though, you must have knew it was a scam after simply the first bit:

"Thanks for your mail, am willing to buy this item, how much is your
last price for it so that i can offer you ??? and i can make the
payment asap."

Obviously don't sell it to any scammers and don't use paypal where possible is my advice.

I don't use the bay or paypal but this is so clearly a scam. Someone with bad English is trying to get you to send a package to Nigeria urgently before any money has cleared. Does that really sound like a sensible thing to do?
