I will be putting new tiles in the bathroom again and am thinking of putting them over the top of the old ones. Will the walls be ok holding the weight ?
The tiles are quite heavy as were the old ones, its just that i am lazy + the walls are now level with the old tiles on and so the new ones should go on better/faster !!

You can do it. The original ones have to be secure and level. You have to make sure they are clean and if you do it the joints have to be staggered. Make sure the wall will take the extra weight of tiles. Only do it if there is one layer of tile. Taking them off can be a bit of a job and you may have fun with the residue but worth it. Personally I would strip them or get someone in to do it.

Its hard to say without seeing it. The first advice i would give tho is to take them off. If it makes a bit of a mess of your wall get a plasterer in to plumb the patch up to the existing bit of wall. If its a partion wall then rip the plasterboard off and redo it.

If the tiles are really well stuck on and you do want to go over them you will have to use a bonding agent over them.
Wickes Bonding Agent is about £10 I think.

Paint that onto your tiles and you can tile over them.
All depends on cost, longevity and the state of your background tho.

Its a propper wall , tiles go all the way up. I was thinking of saving time because it took a lot of tile adhesive to get them level,Now that they are level i was thinking it should be a lot easyer to put em on top of the others !!

you can use a standard tile adhesive to stick your new tiles onto the existing ones and there is no need for a bonding agent. Tiling onto the older tiles is by far the best thing you can do. tiles bond very well to tiles and it is more than likely that the tiled surface you have will be far more smooth than the wall underneath. Even if the existing tiles arent all that flat you will still have no problems with the new ones if you have a good eye for lines. Ripping of you old tiles will probably remove most of the plaster or plasterboard and leave you with a lot of rubbish to get rid of.

doubt anyone could tell you its OK on here, if your that worried you need to get an engineer, then you may as well pay someone to do a proper job. tiling over tiles is a bit of a bodge job, how will you finish the edges it'll look like two tiles unless you get a edge trim
