Yes I saw previous threads about plates but this is just a quick query to those people that have Demon Plates

I need to order new plates - the previous owner of my car has put his private plates onto retention and the original plates had got thrown out by mistake  so I need to order plates for the original licence number

It seems Demon Plates comes well recommended?

I have built up the plate on their website but just have a couple of questions to the people that have Demon Plates

Here is what I want
testplates.jpg

1: Is that Union Jack flag legal?
2: At the bottom it says 'Demon Plates' (which I think is cool) but to be legal it needs to also show their postcode and the BSAU number which doesn't show on the image. Does this info get printed in addition? Do I need to delete 'Demon Plates' if they additionally add their name, postcode and BSAU number?
I don't want to keep the words 'Demon Plates' if they add this info additionally and hence have this doubled up :(
Let me explain better, what I want is the reg number and below it 'Demon Plates + postcode + BSAU number)

Please help

Here are some quick snaps I took whilst getting pics of the plates to compare with, please excuse the dirtyness, I haven't had a chance to properly detail it yet (except the exhaust tips which I slaved over) :)

Having 'Demon Plates' on your car is not cool.

Just pop to the dealer, pay 9.80 a plate, job done. You can have the GB/EU thing on them as well for that.

why is it not cool?

ye I saw you recommend getting from dealers, will it be exactly like above? I don't see any mention that they make plates from the dealers website that is near me :(

What's wrong with the normal plates? I don't like the silly GB thing on the side, I don't see what purpose it serves at all.

Im not feeling the love for Demon Plates, i quite like them and used them because i wanted a full size back plate for my old XJ8 which the Jag dealer nearest me couldnt do surprisingly.

Yes the BSAU and postcode go on as well, it all looks neat though.

Not sure about the flag, but the GB bit is legal.

In your case though where you only need standard size plates it might be easier just going to a BMW dealer.

I just think it looks nice and more unique (as much as a plate can) and the blue will match the car :D

personal preference, I prefer it

SO all BMW dealers do this on the premises? and I can have the blue bits on the side? I quite liked the idea of having 'Demon Plates' written on then though :(

All car dealers make numberplates, how do you think they put plates on new cars? :p

Just go to the parts department with your V5 or certificate of entitlement and they will make you up 2 plates. They will be similar to the above but without the Union Jack.

Like this:

Dealers will make them for you yea, or just use Demon Plates if you like them, we cant all agree with all of Fox's preferences :)

Err it means that you dont need to stick crappy stickers on your car whenever you go abroad

I cant for the life of me understand why you'd like the idea of having 'Demon Plates' written on them

It doesn't make sense to me either, I'm quite liking the little BMW emblem on yours now though.

I will read up to see if the Union Jack is legal because I'm feeling patriotic and I would like one, if not then dealer here I come.

So if I delete 'Demon Plates' from my original config, they do add it in with postcode and BSAU?

You wont get that BMW logo anymore, the law changed in November 2008. Now you just get the name of the supplier, no web addresses or logos allowed.

My front one says 'Ocean Plymouth' on it intead (Some plank reversed into it literally 3 weeks after I had them fitted so I had to get a new one, grr

Iv just been and had a look, they have on mine. But i didnt delete mine, it didnt worry me that much, if you delete it maybe you just get post code and BSAU.

Phone them and ask.

The law says you must have the suppliers name, postcode and BASU.

In that case it will say Demon Plates :)

Thanks for having a look mate, I'll give them a call just to be sure :)

I'm thinking if I order the plates like this
testplates-1.jpg

then they have to add supplier (Demon Plates) + postcode + BSAU

also it seems you can have the 'Euro Stars with letters GB' or the 'Union Jack with letters GB' but not sure if I can have them combined - will phone them regarding these questions thanks fellas :)

I think plates look best plain (from the dealer) TBH but that's just me, liking things minimalist :)
