Driving through the Black Forest (B500) Germany

I'm heading to Germany this weekend for a bit of Bahnstorming but mainly to drive the B500 through the Black Forest in Germany.

Anyone driven this road or other roads in the area?

I went 3 years ago with my school to the Black Forest albeit on a coach, however, I do remember that it gets busy around this time of year and it is quite packed around the Black Forest! And don't do a NathanE either please !!

Dunno where the Black Forest is but I'll be in Germany in about 10 mins time so wave if you pass me (I'm currently enjoying a barbeque in Luxembourg and I'm off to Trier for an ice cream now - it's a hard life )

Yes, I did a tour around the Bahns when I first started working in Frankfurt (nearly 15 years ago now). Took my TVR (god rest her soul) around there ended up at Titisee for no other reason than the name.

Strasbourg -> E52 -> A5 -> Baden Baden is a particularly nice route too, and Baden Baden is a nice stop-over town (casinos and restaurants galore).

Just come back from 2 days of crazy driving in Germany and I'm still smiling

There were 4 cars - C2S, C4S, Vantage and me. Lots of craziness on the Autobahn although I only managed 300kmh

The best bit was the B500, especially the R1 and Gixxer 1000 riders that must have gone home a tad brassed off despite their best efforts. I can honestly say I thrashed my car to within an inch of its life, and it was great

If you get the chance, drive/ride the B500, but pick your time - we drove it again this morning and it was too busy.

Which is around that area.
