maybe we should introduce a handicap in some way to make it fairer? like BTCC do.

maybe a reverse grid so first starts last and last first.

I hope the emphasis is going to be on close racing rather than Who is Number 1.
For me I just want to race with regular Dudes that like to race close & clean, I honestly don't care if I am racing for first or last as long as I am banging doors with someone.
A good example is the other night when Me & Butcher spent hours racing having a ball. Like I said you only need One person that is close to your times in amongst the race & you will have a Blast. :cool:

I would quite happily accept a handicap if needed or would start from the back if I was fastest, All I want is close racing & a Lol whilst I race. :)


This is exactly what I wanted from the birth of the Championship thread. Equal cars, like minded people wanting to race for fun and not ram each other off the road. I can see us all having a good laugh in whatever league we are in. :)
 
Reverse grid would be good, but I don't think any more handicap is needed. I'd rather lose to someone who's better than me than win against them because they're stuck in a Robin Reliant!

Hell's teeth, that's fast, and for a clean lap that's amazing.

I need to take mine out tonight - was going to last night but got into some multiplayer instead - and see how I get on. I'll probably be lucky to break 9 minutes!

Ston3dmonkeh - my e-mail is in trust if you want to get in touch. I'll have a go at some painting tomorrow, but don't expect anything incredible!

In other news, I've just done 6 laps at the Ring trying to break in the upgraded BMW. I managed 8:45 in the end, but that was with only one rewind when I got distracted, and it's getting cleaner on the whole.

As regards tuning, I've used a tuning calculator, but it needs work. I'm finding it a bit heavy going into the turns and then finding it hard to accelerate on the way out. I think loosening the diff will help... right? Any other ideas? Anti-roll bars?
 
I used a calculator but found it way to soft. Had to stiffen up the springs, lower the rear ARB a little(depending on track), brake pressure to 75%,the diff to 35% and suit the gearing for me.

I've tried various set-ups and get close with them all, it's the lines you take which make up the difference.
Ease the brake on and off, same with the gas, try to keep the car settled, go slower in and accelerate out.

Bare in mind it's with the car painted entirely in our blue so if your car is painted a little different it might look weird/more awesome :p

I am off today so I will have a play with the design, feel free to have a go. If you got some ideas put 'em down.

For basic setup of suspension try this. You will need to tweak it somewhat to get a good handling car. You probably know more about tuning than me anyway.
