Whats your budget? 8800gt and 4850 are on par with each other performance wise, they would do the business at your rez, but if you upgrade your monitor they will feel the pain.

i see a 8800gt 320 on the site for £45 looks ok , tbh i have a 28 inch monitor but found if to big , i couldnt keep up with what was on screen if you know what i mean lol

im getting a 5770 from cex for £110.that would certainly handle most games and many res for the near future! but depends if you have the £110 but totally worth double the money of a 8800

i cant help you there im not that deep in to pc's im still a novice to overclocking and only have a little deeper knowledge of boards and cards!

one other thing my mobo had built in ati 3000hd gfx , can i get a ati card and cross fire it ? lol

You can do Hybrid CrossfireX, but I don't know how that works.

For just 10-20 pounds extra you can get a 5770 which is great.
