Mobile Broadband & phone?

Wasn't sure where to post this as its a broadband & mobile phone question

Today i was asked to setup (get info) on a mobile broadband package.
The couple will be going to a caravan site where WiFi will be free to use

They want

a new mobile phone (no idea what kind,theres is old and broken)

a laptop (with Wifi) 3 to 4GB ram / & decent CPU & battery power

I've no idea as ive never looked at mobile broadband.

Sorry I am a little confused, they want a laptop to use wifi in addition to a mobile broadband package?

Or simply a mobile phone with internet deal + a laptop with wifi?

Well after going to 02 etc and reading about it
it seems a con!

This is just for mobile broadband and a laptop


An asus - UL30A can get it for £540 from the asus site

24 month contract - Asus UL30A £79.99 (one off payment) - £30 per month 3GB + 750MB WiFi - not free wifi (2.4p per MB if you go over 3GB in a month) So by the end of the contract £720 ish depending if they dont go over the allowance + vat etc.

decided for them to buy a new laptop outright and then get a dongle from 02 seprate along with a new phone
