No. The Kingdom of Scotland is a separate part of the UK.

Jesus, do they not teach history anymore?

Uh, i'm a little confused. I'm on your side with the whole, Thegoon is anglophobic bit, but can you tell me where you're getting all of this?

England, Scotland and Wales are seperate countries, all part of Great Britain. Great Britain is the central land mass, not to be confused with the British Isles.

The UK (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), also includes the country Northern Ireland.

The British Isles is the entire british landmass, including all surrounding british islands, and the seperate country of Ireland.

This is all pretty remedial stuff, can you get off your high horse?

How do you think that Wales, a country, is "part of" England, another seperate country?

I think the Mars advert with John Barnes is quite hilarious but annoying too...i mean really Mars you had to get an overweight ex football player to sing a stupid utterly annoying song??.

Everytime i hear it i want to rip my ears off:p:D

If thats the case why havn't we got a nation team, i know there's no UK FA... the world cup is a let down for other countries i the UK.

Another perfect example is England Cricket..... you have British players yet its still called England cricket team with the 3 lion's on the shirt... Another one: the union jack flag has no reference to Wales in there... yet you sit there and tell me to look up on my facts? If you got off your high and mighty stool and look at how the rest of the UK is treated at the hands on "England" you too would feel a little animosity.

If i dont reply i havn't run off crying like the sun news paper would if england lost on pen's its because i have an appointment.

With his court-appointed psychiatrist. :p

Can you not read sir? I posted exactly why (with links!) there is no national team. I'll summarise just for you as I'm nice: There is no British football team as the Welsh and Scottish FAs (And Salmond) were heavily apposed to it. The Northern Irish consequently withdrew their support.

Also, I think you'll find Wales is represented in the Union Flag. It is this bit incase you're unsure:

Actually, it's not:

That's the St George's Cross -

Since there is no uniquely Welsh element in the Union Flag, Wrexham’s Labour MP Ian Lucas proposed on 27 November 2007 in a House of Commons debate that the Union Flag should be combined with the Welsh flag to reflect Wales’ status within the UK, and that the Red Dragon should be added to the Union Flag's red, white and blue pattern.

Actually I doubt that very much. The kind of short-sighted Nationalism you are spewing here is predominantly a minority sport, and the majority of people in England couldn't care less, in fact would get behind any UK team if their own was not included, as has been the case in the past with Rugby IIRC. The fact is your views are only shared by a very small minority of what is a small minorty to begin with, so hardly warrent any serious consideration.

You are just using this as justification to have a 'pop' at the English, so don't pretend otherwise, you are far too transparent.:o

You’s have no reason not to support Wales, I'd like to support England but like i have previously said we are told we are "British" yet on the other hand when it comes to national identity Wales is always forgotten. Its easy for you "spew" out the same old garbage that every1 like your self says but the writing is on the wall... We are always an after thought, this is the patriotic side of me coming out not the "English hating Scum bag" your making me out to be! If the table's were turned believe you me you'd be the first to start with your rants.

Thats the cross of St George...
It's a flag of the Kingdom of England. Which can be seen here:

I appreciate we're splitting hairs, but my point is we are a Union, a bloody fantastic Union. People need to pull together not apart. United we stand.

Ian Lucas is just showing his distinct lack of historical knowledge.

To quote Andy Parsons

We're only united in the sense that the Welsh hate the English, the Scots hate the English, the Irish hate the English, and the English hate virtually everyone else, Including most of the English.

:p

We've been a union for longer than most countries in Europe have even been countries.

I don't know why people have to be so separatist all the time.
