Convince me to buy an ipod touch

Ok I either spend £150 on a phone or I get an ipod touch.

Not that many great phones for that price range so was thinking of getting an ipod touch but not sure if it will be money well spent.

Convince me.

I love mine - use it every day
If you've ever used one or an iphone you will know that using it is great. The 'touch sensitivity' is top notch compared to everything else..
I prefer locating music/videos/photos on my ipod touch then on my nokia 5800 where it is slow/laggy and not as easy.
Browsing the web at home is still neat -- i want an iPad so it just makes it even better
Lovely design
awsome apps on the app store. I like to play angry birds or doodle jump while im waiting for trains (addictive simple games)

etc etc
Buy it and you won't look back

They speak for themselves, you shouldn't need convincing. For £150 you can get a brand new 8gb Ipod Touch with all the toys or search round for a used 2g or 3g 8gb well loved iPhone on the bay with the extra benefits they offer.

It's depends entirely what you're looking for out of your device.

Why not get an iphone on contract? Touch is good, but a shame to miss out on 3G

Do wish i had the iphone myself over the ipod. But i could not justify spending like £30 a month on a contract and then like £150 or more on the phone itself.

As currently im on my £18 per month 18month contract. (started last September or something) and i hardly use what i get now.

i know you said your not in the position to get a new contract but i've just upgraded my contract on orange and got my 8gb iphone 3gs for free for £35 a month and wasn't sure if i would be keeping it or selling/sending it back but i love it, could have had a free 16gb iphone 4 but that would have been £45 a month and these are upgrades :cool:

the itouch is a great bit of kit tho and there are a few mods that can turn it into a voip phone using wifi but never looked into it as my old phone was a htc touch hd so had no need

if you've still got your heart set on a ipod touch keep an eye on the members market sunday afternoon as if my sister and a couple of my mates can't afford it i wil be selling it on MM

Yer there's always iPod touches on MM.
Though generally 2g or 1g.
Would only suggest to get a 3rd because of the big speed increase. So 16GB or higher 3g

I know 3 people that had the best free phone on their contract and also bought an ipod touch for ~£150. All of them wish that they had just got the iphone.
