Well they look nice and sharp - but they are a bit tiny! For a matter of interest why did you choose this resolution? I see they are a bit bigger on your flickr page. My eyesight isn't too good at my age! :p

Sharp. Well exposed.

Not sure the border works on the motorsport shots?

Not much motion going on?

If you want I'll do abit more indepth crit tommorow when I have more time?

Nice and sharp shots, lack of sense of speed though as already mentioned. High shutter speed has frozen the action but sometimes a bit of blur in the background/wheels is good to see :)

Yes, there are slightly larger versions available on Flickr, I got in to the habbit of resizing them like this in order to save bandwidth before I upgraded my account.

Its a habbit I should get out of I suppose!

Again, the border is just a habbit, Now that I'm thinking about it, I guess its not really needed on these shots at all.

As above. You need some motion in the shots unless the car is coming head on :)

As for motion, yes I would agree. In the great british festival a week ago, the place was empty and I was able to get quite a lot of panning practice in, with some shots being more successful than others! However I had quite a bad back was a bit restricted as to which corners I could go to this weekend and with it being so busy I wasnt really able to swing the camera around in the locations that I could get to, so I opted for a more frozen head on approach.

I appreciate that some of the more side on shots would ideally need a slower shutter speed to show more motion. (3,5,6 8 for example)

Would you say the head on shots were ok though? ( say 4, 7, 9 - 12?)

By all means feel free to add more comments!

Thanks

Okay I said I'd crit...

#1 - Nice action. Sharp. Good amount of motion. :)

#2 - Not showing me any agression or speed so IMO not that strong.

#3 - As above, nice but not much speed/agression. I like the car in the background though!

#4 - One of my favourite shots. Sharp, showing agression and close nature of the BTCC!

#5 - Doesn't really do much for me. The broken bits are nice, but probably not the most interesting shot ever.

#6 - Shutter speed. ;)

#7 - Sharp, two cars, shows an interesting line. I like it. :)

#8 - Needs more motion IMO.

#9, 11, 12 - Interesting, nice to perhaps see the cars behind blurred (either using an ND filter or a slower shutter speed)

#10 - I likes this one. I think it's the tight framing and the obvious suspension compression.

Excellent set!!! IMO I think if your freezing stuff you need to freeze things like sparks/compressed suspension/dirt!! And if not then panning and showing speed that way is how I tend to work!!

Whats the setup for these? Camera/lens etc?

Echoing above really, the side ones could just do with a slightly slower shutter speed to make the cars have real motion! Certainly well composed/exposed images.
