Hey guys,
I know there are a few of us on Bike Radar, and a few more commuters so i've set up a OCUK mini league

Go sign up here (if you've not already):
http://www.startfarm.co.uk/aspstats/Default.aspx

then go to http://www.startfarm.co.uk/aspstats/minileague.aspx and click "Create or Modify MiniLeague" select your name and the OCUK league then click "Add Selected Users"

Once complete start adding your miles people - if it takes off i'll throw a prize into the pot for the most miles, be honest!!

Monday - Friday it's 17 miles each way as a minimum, occasionally throwing in a little detour or an extral lap of Richmond Park.

At the weekend I'm resting at the moment, but I'll soon be joining Kingston Wheelers of weekend club runs, or a quick 20 mile round trip to the lake for some open water swimming.

If it rains like it did today, you can forget getting me on a bike (yes that's pathetic :p). For the 7 weeks prior to this, I've been commuting 8 miles per day in total, i.e. return journey, every day. Even the 25 minutes this takes me has done wonders for my aerobic fitness! Spent most of the last three days climbing up steep staircases in France and I barely enough puffed, brilliant.

Yes. Yes, it is. Every bike ride should end with you being soaking wet; either rain or sweat. Every day is an opportunity to race new and interesting people on foot, bike, moped, car, van, truck and train. Now my Garmin has a Virtual Training Partner I even get to race myself every day.

remeber it only counts as a scalp if you keep a similar level of dress day to day ;)

That is pretty cool though, i'm using an iphone based app so get an idea post ride if i've done better or not but live splits would be very cool!

There are precious few scalps to be had on my route unfortunately; Victoria Embankment is where most of the commuting peleton hang out.

I've got a Garmin Forerunner 310XT for fathers day (yes, I know it's a month early) and I'm really impressed with it. Have been using a 405, but the bigger screen is great. Only downside is that it's not really a watch, it doesn't go into power saving like the 405. You've either got to turn off the GPS or the whole unit.

Stopped chasing the raw miles in March, and haven't updated my stats since then. Have still added myself to the minileague. Got my miles on my Garmin so might add them at some point.

Legs are feeling fatigued today, combination of not being used to proper mileage and long runs at the weekend. Still, it beats driving :D.

No showers at work :(.

good ride this morning despite the rain - pushed myself to detour round the park for the extra LOLs :)

Not having a shower sucks, were very well provisioned for here luckily - should push your manager for them to add one but i doubt it would come to much :(

We had one but they binned it just before I joined apparently, as nobody ever used it so it became a disabled bog.
