I sometimes think my 5770 performs better on some boot ups than others. I just opened CPU-Z to check the sppeds, does this look right for my card?

Thanks in advance

I can't tell from that number sorry :o , Are you overclocking? Running more than one monitor?

Nothing wrong with that :)

Card must be upping the clocks to compensate for the second monitor!

I might be mistaken here, but I believe 400/900 are the clocks it uses when watching video or some-such activity in between the proper lower idle 2D clock and the full blown 3D ones. Furthermore, some cards this gen had/have the tendency to get 'stuck' on them midway clocks for some reason. You might want to look into that. It won't happen all the time but it might so keep an eye out. As in those boot-ups when it does indeed decide to get stuck will not switch to 3D clocks even if you run a game, which is unfortunate.

Do some searching around the forum, there should be lots of old treads on exactly this issue. Was really big not long after the gen's release.

If i enable Ati overdrive on my asus cucore my idle's are 300/1000, if i uncheck overdrive they are 157/300.

Kinda annoying as at first i thought wtf is going on here these are not the right idle speeds, but hey ho
